Established in 1975, offering safe temporary accommodation and support for women and children who are fleeing / experiencing domestic abuse. Accommodation in 3 houses for up to 20 women and 32 children at any one time, plus a fully accessible unit for 1 woman and up to 3 children with special needs. Staff offer skilled practical help, advice and emotional support to enable women to return to independent living. This includes re-housing applications, medical treatment, help with finding schools, legal advice, counselling for both women and children and help with submitting correct welfare benefit claims.
